The BASIC Unity course will give students the knowledge and skills to develop a prototype game.
The program is suitable for:
Practicing game designers who want to get a base of work with the engine and expand functionality
CG-artists who want to understand how to prepare their own models for future import into the engineindie-developers who want to work on their project and get feedback from the curator
Block 1: Unity Basics
Students learn the principles of OOP and C# basics necessary to work in Unity, master key skills of work in the engine: physics, 3D work, shaders and marshals, light and camera, animation, work with sound.
At the same time they work on a training project. You can choose the complexity of the project yourself.
Block 2: Developing a game as a team
Students will get acquainted with the game development pipeline, key roles in the team; understand the specifics of the main game development specialties (producers, game designers, concept artists, 3D modelers, etc.) and their tasks; analyze the features of interaction in the team.
Unit 3: Practice
Students develop a prototype game, either individually or in teams.
You can make a project based on the tutorial assignment, or write down your idea for the final project. And yes, if you already have a project you are working on, you can take it.
