Rose’s Gaming Accessories recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their Steel Bar Magnet Pivoted Games Master Screen and were kind enough to send me one to take a look at. The screen I received was the Oak Rocks Fall (Red+Black) with Blank Side Panels. I have to admit that I didn’t check out the campaign first, and was a bit confused how it all went together, using the metal rods to hold papers on the screen instead of using them as hinges as they’re supposed to be used!
Once I got everything figured out the screen not only made more sense but stayed together much nicer!
These GM screens are solid hardwood and are expertly engraved. The magnets are really strong, so there’s no need to worry about the screen coming undone during use. The set also comes with 4 wooden buttons that can be used on the inside of the screen to hold any papers a GM might need to keep right at hand.

There’s also a custom level at £250 where Rose’s Gaming Accessories will work with you to create a screen completely unique to you.
I’m really impressed with the screen. It’s simple, solid, and certainly, does the job of keeping things private from while giving a GM the flexibility to hang important sheets. I do wish it came with some instructions, but I’m sure the final product will…or the people who back it will be a bit more intelligent than I am and already know what they’re getting and how it goes together.
I’m a sucker for quality wooden accessories, especially when they don’t break the bank. A barebones screen at the tier 1 level only costs around $94. While still a luxury for any gamer, it’s a bit more reasonable than similar wooden GM screens on the market.
