Today I’m proud to announce something I’ve been working on getting set up for a while now. As many of you know, I’ve been using the hashtag #youarewelcomeatmytable on social media. It’s a fantastic tag that I believe sums of the core of our hobby.
No matter who you are, who you love, what you believe in, what your gender is, or what your skin color is, #youarewelcomeatmytable.
It’s something I believe in strongly, and I’ve decided to set up shop with a line of shirts and products using the hashtag to benefit various charities. The goal is to have designs by various people and to donate all profits of whatever is sold to a different charity each quarter as voted on by the community. The first charity being spotlighted will be Take This, and since it’s the launch charity I’ll run it until the end of this year before launching the first charity poll.
Each month I’ll be posting sales numbers and keeping everything transparent so everyone knows that every dollar pulled in goes right back out to whatever charity is currently spotlighted.
