Calliope Games, Inc has announced that in order to better protect their intellectual property and brand integrity that they will be consolidating their distribution channels. The hope, especially in the US and Canada, is to combat negligent marketing tactics and counterfeit products. According to Ray Wehrs, President of Calliope Games, “Managing those risks has been tedious and costly, and not executed as effectively as we would like.”
Effective immediately, Calliope will be partnering with Alliance Game Distributors and ACD Distribution in the US, and Universal Games Distribution in Canada. Calliope Games will also continue to sell direct to retailers for those who prefer to conduct business that way. International markets are still under review.
