Ed Rodriguez is releasing his latest game, Animus, in an open beta format for players to help shape the game through feedback and experience. Animus is a small, two-player card game inspired by fighting video games and turn-based monster combat RPGs. The game has players drafting a team of 9 unique characters from a spanning multiverse to complete while leading their team with one of 6 Entity cards.
Animus will be free to play during the open beta in the following ways:
Those who want a physical version of the game can purchase the $14.99 boxed set from The Game Crafter.
The open beta will last until December 31st, 2017.
Right now there’s no news on whether or not the game will go to Kickstarter or if an interested publisher will pick it up.
