Last year I did a preview of Meromorph’s The Shipwreck Arcana for the game’s Kickstarter campaign. The game successfully funded and just recently fulfilled backer rewards. The game came out absolutely beautiful with a stunning white box, amazing card art, and wonderful wooden tiles. I have to admit I was a bit excited to get my copy in the mail as the prototype we’ve been playing is a bit worn out after coming along on several camping trips over the summer.
The quality here is absolutely top notch. The box is thick and sturdy, the cards tarot sized and durable. The wooden tiles have a wonderful feel in the hand and there’s plenty of polybags to separate and hold everything. I would have loved for a little rulebook, but the foldout rules work just fine and are laid out in an easy to digest and readable manner.
Below are some shots I took of the game. I didn’t snag a pic of every card, but hopefully, I’ve shown you enough to get a good feel for what you’re in store for when picking up the game. Speaking of which, you can pre-order the game for $16 if you didn’t back it on Kickstarter. The promo cards that came with the Kickstarter copy of the game will also eventually be available for an extra $5.
